On October 7th 2018, the IWG celebrated the
Swiss Cultural Day at the Crown Plaza Hotel.
The event was opened with a speech by the president of the group, Mrs. Clethe
Gubler, wife of the Ambassador of the Republic of Switzerland to Kuwait, who
welcomed the members of the group and on behalf of IWG-Kuwait she welcomed his
Excellency the Swiss Ambassador of Kuwait, Dr. Benedict Gubler.
His Excellency Dr. Gubler presented Switzerland, a country renowned for its
tradition of high quality education, cutting edge technologies, famous for the
manufacturing of medical drugs, designing and manufacturing luxury watches and
making cheeses and chocolates.
The Swiss Cultural Day program continued with a video clip about the famous landmarks of Switzerland. The group members then participated in many activities, concluding with a taste of Swiss Cuisine and leaving with a beautiful Swiss Army Knife as a gift.
