The International Women Group celebrates the National and Liberation Days
The International Women’s Group (IWG) held a ceremony to celebrate Kuwait national and liberation days, on Sunday 2nd February at Crown Plaza Hotel, The event attended by the honorary president Sheikha\ Hanouf Al- Bader Al-Sabah, Female Ambassador, wives of the ambassadors to Kuwait, members of the IWG and elite of women of Kuwait. The celebration started by receiving guests in the Kuwaiti traditional way by spraying rose water on them as a way of greeting.
During her opening speech, Rima Al-Khaldi, wife of the Ambassador of the State of Palestine in Kuwait and Vice President of the Group, congratulated His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and people of Kuwait on the occasion of national and liberation day.
The ceremony program included a stereoscopic opening on the old Kuwait market, and then Kuwaiti Army’s military music band participated in playing the national anthem of the State of Kuwait, and then they played some of the Kuwaiti national songs where the audience interacted enthusiastically.Mrs. Al-Khaldi invited the honorary president of IWG, the guests, and members of the Board of Directors of the Group participate in cutting the cake.
During the ceremony, the students of the British School made a movie on this occasion showing their love to their beloved country of Kuwait. In addition to a short film entitled “Kuwait is a small country with a big heart”.
Also, a real-life falcon was brought with its trainer in the hall, to publicize its importance as a slogan for the State of Kuwait. The celebration included an important part of the heritage, which is the “Kuwaiti wedding corner”, to inform guests on the importance of this ceremony as it represents the customs of marriage in Kuwait in the past with its joyful and distinctive rituals and it shows the simplicity with the customs and traditions of the people of Kuwait.
There were also several interesting entertainment competitions and many gifts were distributed to everyone, and at the conclusion of the ceremony. IWG honored the the National Council, and the Military Music Band for their participation and contributions to the success of this event.
At the end, the attendees enjoyed the Kuwaiti traditional cuisine prepared by the chefs of the Crown Plaza Hotel, exclusively for this celebration.
مجموعة المرأة الدولية تحتفل بالعيد الوطني وعيد التحرير لدولة الكويت
احتفلت مجموعة المرأة الدولية بالعيد الوطني وعيد التحرير لدولة الكويت بفندق كراون وبحضورالرئيسة الفخرية للجنة الشيخة\ هنوف البدر الصباح، سعادة السفيرات وزوجات سعادة السفراء المعتمدين لدى دولة الكويت وأعضاء اللجنة ونخبة من سيدات المجتمع .
تم استقبال الضيوف بالطريقة التقليدية المتبعىة وفقا للعادات والتقاليد ا الكويتية برش ماء الورد تعبيرا عن الترحيب بهم، وتميزت القاعة والمدخل بديكور مميز بأجواء تقليدية تراثية.
استهلت السيدة\ ريما الخالدى ، نائبة رئيسة اللجنة الحفل بكلمه رحبت بها بالسادة الضيوف وعضوات اللجنة ، وتقدمت السيدة\ الخالدى بأصدق التهاني لدولة الكويت اميرا وحكومة وشعبا بمناسبة هذه الأعياد المجيدة .
شمل برنامج الحفل افتتاح مجسم عن سوق الكويت القديم، وشاركت فرقة الموسيقي العسكرية التابعة للجيش الكويتى بعزف النشيد الوطنى لدولة الكويت ، ومن ثم عزفت الفرقة بعض من الأغاني الكويتية الوطنية، وتفاعل الحضور مع الفرقة ابتهاجا بهذه المناسبة. كما دعت نائبة الرئيسة السيدة \ ريماالخادى الرئيسة الفخرية للجنة والسادة الضيوف واعضاء مجلس أدارة اللجنة مشاركتها بتقطيع كعكة الأحتفال، ثم تم عرض فيلم لطلاب المدرسة البريطانية والذين عبروا بتلقائية بكلمات تجسدت بكلمات حب وقالوا نشأنا وترعرعنا بحنان حضنها فهي بلد الأمن والأمان.
تتضمنت الفعالية عرض فيلم قصير بعنوان ” الكويت بلد صغير بقلب كبير” ، وبهذه المناسبة شارك بعض السفراء بتقديم تهنئتهم بأعياد دولة الكويت المجيدة.
وكما عودتنا اللجنة المنظمة في كل عام فأحضرت طائر “الصقر” مع مدربة بالقاعة، للتعريف بأهميته كشعار لدولة الكويت. الأحتفالية تضمنت جزء مهم من التراث وهو “ركن العرس الكويتي” ، حيث تم عرض حي لدزة وجلوة العروس” لتعريف الضيوف والحاضرين بأهمية هذه الفعالية حيث انها تمثل عادات الزواج في الكويت قديما بطقوسه البهيجة والمميزة وتبين مدى الترابط الأجتماعي ودرجة البساطة والعفوية المقترنة بعادات وتقاليد أهل الكويت.
كما كانت هناك عدة مسابقات ترفيهية شيقة اضافت جو من المرح بين الحضور، وتم توزيع العديد من الهدايا علي الجميع ، وفي ختام الحفل تم تقديم دروع تذكارية لكل من المجلس الوطني وفرقة الموسيقى العسكرية لمشاركتهم ومساهماتهم فى انجاح هذه الفعالية
وفي ختام الحفل تمتع الحضور بنكهات الأكلات الشعبية الكويتية والمحضرة من قبل طهاة فندق كراون بلازا خصيصا لهذا الأحتفال.
