The Visit of the IWG to the Kuwait New Airport Project
The International Women Group visited the new airport project “The Building of Passenger 2”, which is one of the most important and largest projects in the State of Kuwait and expected to be ready in August 2022. It is designed according to the latest international airports and expected to obtain the highest global rating for worldwide airports (IATA-LEVEL A).
In the beginning a group of engineers welcomed the IWG members and architect Shouq AlDakheel and engineer Abdullah AlAnsari provided thoroughly a detailed explanation of the new environmentally friendly airport building, which is expected to obtain the first level in energy and environmental design and to be one of the world’s most developed and attractive airports, where the latest technology is used.
Therefore, the IWG members were transported by a large bus to the field accompanied by the Engineers Abdullah AlAnsari, Nasser AlDuwaisan and Reem AlWazzan to see the size of the project closely, to take group photos and to hear everything related to the project starting from the wonderful design that can accommodate from 25 to 50 million passengers annually and ending by its possibility to serve to 51 aircrafts at the same time.
The group also enjoyed seeing this project, the beautiful architectural designs and the huge columns which are up to 90 columns bearing the arches.
It is worth noting that the project has two hotels in the transit area and approximately 5,200 parking lots. There are also temporary factories in the project to make up to 37,000 arched roof pieces that have special specifications, and each piece differs from the second one.
In the end, the IWG members who visited the airport are confirming and witnessing that all engineers are currently working hard to implement this project.
