A delegation from the International Women’s Group (IWG), headed by Ms. Ghada Shawky, President of the IWG and the wife of the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt, paid a field visit to Kuwait Airways on Sunday, November 20, 2022.
Members were received by the staff of the Department of Institutional Communication and Public Relations. An organized tour was arranged in the Engineering Department where the IWG members were received by Eng. Abdullah Al-Habib. An overview of the history of Kuwait Airways from its inception in 1954 to the present day was presented, part of which was mentioned the continuous and effective role of the Engineering Department since the arrival of The aircraft from the factory (manufacturer) until entering service and providing continuous maintenance.
Eng. Al Habib explained also the periodical maintenance method provided by the Engineering Department for the whole fleet, which currently includes 33 aircrafts, and its concern for the general safety of its honorable customers.
A detailed explanation was also given about the types of aircrafts used by Kuwait Airways since 1954 until now, mentioning in addition modern aircrafts, their types and advantages.
The delegation visited the A320neo, A330neo and Boeing B777 aircraft. While having a tour inside the aircrafts, the members were then briefed about the aircraft’s seats and services provided on board.
At the end of the tour, Eng. Abdullah Al-Habib answered all inquiries and questions raised by the members of the International Women’s Group.
