At their final meeting of the season IWG bid a fond farewell to their outgoing President, Mrs. Cristiana Balducci, spouse of the Ambassador of Italy, and announced the appointment of Mrs. Ghada Shawky, spouse of the Ambassador of Egypt, as President for 2022-2023.
Welcoming Mrs. Shawky, Mrs Balducci pledged her support saying that she very much looked forward to a wonderful new year with Mrs Shawky as President.
In her acceptance speech Mrs. Shawky expressed her gratitude to Sheikha Hanouf Bader Al Muhamad Al Sabah, Honorary President of the International Women’s Group; Mrs. Balducci; the IWG Executive Board and all IWG members for their support and confidence, saying she looked forward to an exciting year ahead continuing to build on the wonderful work of her predecessor.
