The International Women’s Group (IWG) in Kuwait and the Embassy of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan held a Jordanian Cultural Day on Sunday, 6 November 2022 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel under the title “Kingdom of Civilizations”.
Mrs. Ghada Shawky, President of the International Women’s Group and wife of the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt, welcomed the guests.
H.E. Mr. Saqer Abu Shattal, Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to the State of Kuwait highlighted the important work being done by the IWG and emphasized the close ties between Jordan and Kuwait.

Mrs. Kreshan explained the meaning of “Kingdom of Civilizations” by presenting a number of short films and documentaries, which highlighted the rich culture and heritage of Jordan.
Jordanian folklore songs were sung by Jordanian artist Mrs. Shereen Hattar and special presentations by Kuwaiti travel influencers showcasing their trip to Jordan. A display of Jordanian traditional dresses, handicraft and cultural items. World famous Madjool dates were also offered during the event and
attendees were offered raffle prizes, which included flight tickets sponsored by Jordan’s national carrier, Royal Jordanian Airlines.
Attendees also enjoyed some of Jordan’s traditional food, including Mansaf, Kunafah and zaatar and cheese saaj.
