The International Women’s Group (IWG), in collaboration with the Embassy of Georgia in the State of Kuwait, hosted “Georgian Cultural Day” on January 26, 2025. The event was organized under the theme “Women’s role in the history of Georgia and their contribution as Ambassadors’ for Peace”. Held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, the event gathered Kuwait’s diplomatic community, officials, and IWG members.
Mrs. Polina Dalmini, IWG President and wife of the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Eswatini, thanked the Embassy of Georgia and IWG member Mrs. Marika Kochlamazashvili, wife of the Georgian Ambassador, for organizing the event and delivering an enlightening presentation about famous Georgian women.
Ambassador of Georgia H.E. Noshrevan Lomtatidze welcomed the guests and highlighted the remarkable role of women and mothers in Georgian culture and their enduring efforts in the upbringing of children and enhancement of social cohesiveness.
The dance ensemble “Georgia” captivated the audience with its powerful and dynamic performance of Georgian folk dances, showcasing unmatched athleticism and incredible grace.
On the culinary front, a masterclass for Georgian traditional sweets “Churchkhela” was organized under the guidance of Mrs Kochlamazashvili, showcasing a perfect blend of cultural heritage and gastronomic pleasure.
The outstanding program immersed guests in a vibrant traditional atmosphere celebrating the unique trove of artistic and cultural diversity of Georgia, featuring works of Georgian craftsmen and well-known Georgian fashion designers.
The event provided an intimate glimpse into Georgia’s rich and colorful cultural heritage and celebration of women’s contribution to peace, embarking the guests on an entertaining path into Georgia’s creative spirit and ingenuity.
