HORECA Kuwait Hosts International Women’s Group
On Tuesday, January 15, 2019, the International Women’s Group organized a visit to the 2019 HORECA Kuwait Exhibition for Hospitality, Food Industries, Hotel and Restaurant Supplies at the Kuwait International Fairgrounds in Mishref. Mrs. Nabila Al-Anjeri, Chairperson of the Organizing Committee of the Exhibition and Leaders Group’s General Manager, along with Mr. Mohammad Najia, Horeca Kuwait’s Executive Manager and Secretary General of the Hotel Owners Union, greeted the group of esteemed ladies and led them into the world of Food & Hospitality.
Before the tour began, Mr. Najia gave a brief explanation of the exhibition, its objectives and the activities to be held in this period. He added that the exhibition is sponsored by nearly 80 companies and about 320 competitors from different categories from Kuwait and other countries participating in 21 different competitions.
Mr. Najia escorted the ladies on an informative tour of the exhibition to learn about the various items presented and the activities of the cooking competitions. Chefs from Kuwait and other countries were present to participate in the many cooking competitions displaying their culinary skills. The competitions are evaluated by international judges from Europe, the Far East and the Middle East.
The ladies visited the booths of the participating companies where personnel introduced their own products and everything related to local and international delicacies. They were also well informed by the representative of ‘La Maison Du Fromage’ about the variety of cheeses and offered them to try the exquisite tastes of different French cheese. They also had pleasure in satisfying their senses with the tantalizing aroma and taste of several types of coffee.
At the end of the tour, the International Women’s Group expressed their gratitude and, as a token of appreciation to all the efforts made into offering premium Hospitality to IWG and its members, the IWG Board presented emblems and certificates to the organizing committee of HORECA that has extended beautiful gestures on this lovely morning.
