International Women Group (IWG) Hosts annual Seasonal Dinner
The International Women’s Group (IWG) celebrated Christmas and New Year with a gala dinner at the Crown Plaza Hotel on Sunday, 8 December, 2019, in the presence of Female Ambassadors and wives’ of ambassadors accredited to the State of Kuwait, IWG’s members and a selection of prominent women within the Kuwaiti society and international community.
The ballroom was beautifully decorated in a Christmas and New Year theme, with the walls adorned with sparkling lights, and a shimmering tree that was radiant on the occasion. Red roses representing the celebration of the holidays were present throughout the hall, which added to the joyful atmosphere.
Mrs. Anita de Vogel, the IWG president opened with a welcome speech and greeted all the members and guests of this very special evening, and wishing all attendees the best of health and happiness.
The evening was filled with entertainment, activities and competitions that allowed everyone to experience happiness, and fun. Many gifts were handed out to all attendees, in addition to a raffle draw organized for a grand prize. As part of the festivities, a variety of musical entertainment was organized, with the main highlights being the scout’s team performance of various songs to celebrate the New Year and a singing session by Ms. Shireen Hattar and Manar Alamat, who performed songs to celebrate the occasion.

Mrs. De Vogel expressed her gratitude to the management of the Crown Plaza Hotel for its cooperation and extraordinary organization involved for the marvelous event, which included the decorations for the hall and seating areas, and the preparation of delicious cuisine specially prepared for this occasion as well as other special additions that made up a fabulous night.
