International Women’s Group Celebrate their 30th Anniversary
04 November 2018: On the beautiful morning of November 4, 2018, the International Women’s Group celebrated their 30th Anniversary in style in Al Jawhara Ballroom at the Crowne Plaza Hotel.
Members and friends, who came dressed in blue and white like their logo, gathered to be taken on a journey right from the start up until the Pearl Anniversary today. The event started with a speech given by the President of IWG, Mrs. Clethe Gubler, welcoming the members, guests and a special visitor who flew in especially for this occasion.
Honika Veling, the first President of IWG, came all the way from Netherlands to join the current members, board and President in the celebrations that are scheduled for several days. The group brings together various cultures and this has always been treasured and projected in every event and activity conducted.
The morning included several performances, music and dance, as well as a short video on IWG right from the start to date. The video presented the 30-year History of the group, how it started and the milestones achieved.
In addition to the valuable raffle draw gifts, giveaways and souvenirs were distributed to the members and guests throughout this special event.
Mrs. Gubler presented the Guest of Honor, Mrs. Veling, with a memorable gift on behalf of all the members and thanked her and all previous presidents for their cherished efforts and time they gave to IWG.
A deliciously prepared brunch was served by the Crowne Plaza and the ladies left with great smiles and memories to add in their books.
